The friends and neighbors gave Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wepner a pleasant surprise at their home last Saturday evening. An oyster supper was served and the evening was spent in playing progressive cinch. The winners were Sonja and Albert Susa.

H. Dittbrenner of St. Paul tuned pianos for C. Hatton, C. Clintsman, R. Waseca and J. Susa and G. Meinholdt in West Eaton last week.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and son Roger of Janesville are here on a visit at the F. Hatton home.

We wonder if it isn't about time to get those cow bells in tune. If people are true there will be several weddings soon. Now altogether, guess.

Fred Halle has rented his father's farm for this year.

Mrs. Dillenbeck and Mrs. F. Hatton were callers on Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Stafford and Mrs. P. Rossman in Greenwood on Monday afternoon.

Henry Martinson left for Freta, S.D. last week, after spending a month here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. Martinson.

Dr. Baker was called out to C. Hatton's Monday night to see their little girl, who was very sick with bronchitis. Both children have been on the sick list for several weeks.

Mrs. Ed Keefe and Mrs. F. Hatton visited school Friday afternoon and also called on Mrs. S.B. Flagg and Mrs. Julius Halle.

Floyd Clintsman transacted business with Mrs. Dillenbeck Tuesday evening.

Mrs. S.B. Flagg spent several days with her mother, Mrs. Palzer, who has been very sick with pleurisy.
