Dmytro, William (25 February 1926 - 28 August 2014)
William Dmytro, age 88, a lifelong Lublin resident, passed away on Thursday, 
August 28, 2014. Bill was born February 25, 1926, at home in Lublin, the son of 
the late Theodore and Pauline (Makitra) Dmytro. He attended Lublin grade school 
and Withee High School. On May 16, 1954, he was united in marriage to Cecilia 
Sczesniak in Milwaukee. The couple resided in the Lublin area where they farmed. 
Bill was also a logger, skilled woodworker, beekeeper, and a wonderful vegetable 
and flower gardener, along with being an avid Packer fan. He was an elder and 
active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Thorp, where he also taught 
Sunday school and was the town chairman for the Town of Roosevelt. Bill was a 
beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.
Bill is survived by his wife, Cecilia, of Lublin; two sons: Robert Dmytro of 
Watertown, and David (Lisa) Dmytro of Wausau; daughter-in-law, Geraldine Dmytro 
of Perkinstown; grandchildren: Hillary (Dan) Tolzmann, Dustin (Sherri) Dmytro, 
Barry (Eric) Dmytro, Stacy (Nick) Syryczuk, and Brandi Dmytro; 
great-grandchildren: Emma, William, Henry, Clark, Jane and Claire.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeff; brothers: John, Walter, Leo, 
Peter and Michael; sister, Alice Webster; and two nephews.
Services were held on Monday, September 1, 2014, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s 
Lutheran Church, Thorp, with Pastor Bitner officiating. Burial followed in the 
East Thorp Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10-11:30 a.m. prior to services at 
the church on Monday. Plombon Funeral Service of Stanley assisted the family.
