Pirwitz, Mrs. Aug. (15 Nov 1853 – 28 OCT 1916)

Mrs. Aug. Pirwitz died on Saturday night at her home on West Street after a long illness. She was born on Nov. 15, 1853, in Pommerania, Germany, and was united in marriage to August Pirwitz on Nov. 15, 1883. Five children were born to them, but three of whom, Paul and Mrs. Max Wegner of Marshfield and Mrs. Otto Roessler of this city, survive to console their father. Mr. and Mrs. Pirwitz came to this county in 1884 and settled at Lake Mills. They lived there for four years and then came to Clark County and located on a farm in town of Grant, which remained their home until three years ago, when they came to Neillsville to spend their declining years. Deceased was a Christian woman whose every act throughout life was one of kindly and charitable purpose. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of this city and her funeral was held there Tuesday afternoon, the services being conducted by Rev. Brandt and interment being made in the Neillsville Cemetery.
