Shortville (2 Nov 1916)

D. Carstenson bought a few thoroughbred sheep from Eugene Counsell last week.

Amos Kegley of Ladysmith is here for a few days’ business trip.

Mrs. R. Frantz and daughters, Clara and Ruby, spent Sunday afternoon at C. Irish’s.

Ralph Short has been suffering with a boil on his arm the past week.

On account of the rain there was no lodge supper Saturday night, although a large number intended to go.

Hubert Carter and Clyde Savage left Monday for a short visit with relatives in Richland County.

Encie Carter and Guy Cramer spent Saturday night in Neillsville with the Cramer family.

The Pray Road is being graded this week over near Bushy Ridge.

Floyd Hagie and John McCarl drove to Marshfield Saturday to get repairs for Hagie’s corn shredder.

Fernando Hockett is back from the west and was seen in this vicinity one day last week.
