Routar, John ‘Happy’ (11 May 1883 - 13 March 1973)

John ‘Happy’ Routar, 89, Willard, died March 13, at Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. Mr Routar, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Routar, was born May 11, 1883, in Yugoslavia. He was married September, 20, 1922, at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Chicago, Ill., to Anna Gionetti. She died April 20, 1957.

Mr. Routar came to the United States in 1906, and in 1911 he came to Willard. He was a stone mason by trade. He had been a resident of Memorial Home for the last six years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Clara) Hribar of Greenwood, Mrs. Milton (Anne) Collier of Neillsville and Miss Jenny Routar of Palm Springs, Calif.; a son, John Routar of North Platte, Nebr., seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. The Rev. Michael Mertens officiated. Burial was made in the Holy Family Cemetery.
