Humbird (29 March 1973)

Ralph Finnegan and son, Tom, of Burlington, visited Thursday afternoon at the Arnold Matti home and took his son, Tim, a student in Eau Claire, home Friday.

Mr. and Mrs. Levi Fitzmaurice celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary Thursday by having supper at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Ed Holub, of Hatfield.

Mrs. Bernard Sieg and Jeff, and Mrs. Laura Dignin, drove to Price Monday to spend the day with Mrs. Gil Blom. Mrs. Dignin was to remain there until Wednesday.

Mr and Mrs. Roy Johnson and daughters drove to Eau Claire Saturday to take their son, Terry, to a plane on the first part of his way to Norfolk, VA., where he joins his ship for overseas duty.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Laffe visited Sunday afternoon at the Mel Markham home.

Mr. and Mrs. John Moore and son of Port Edwards, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Phillips and boys, and Mrs. Marion Albus of Port Edwards, were here Sunday to spend the day the the John Phillips home and with Mr. and Mrs. Art Allen . The Allens came home Sunday from a week’s visit at the E. J. Payne home in Wisconsin Rapids.

Mrs. Carol Burkhalter came from Rockford Sunday to help her mother, Mrs. Johanna Olson, celebrate her birthday. Mrs. Burkhalter and Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Beatrice Lang and Mrs. Alyce Gearing were supper guests at the Allen Zimmerman home in Fairchild.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Polege were overnight and Friday guests at the Fricky Theiler home in Cataract.

Mrs. Emma Gerber and niece Gail Ness of Eau Claire spent Monday afternoon with Judy Boettcher in rural Taylor.

Mr and Mrs. Roger Ness and family of Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Stanley, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Emma Gerber. Miss Gail Ness will remain with Mrs. Gerber until Wednesday.
