Lilly, Deborah (Marriage - 18 April 1973)

Making their home in Burnsville, Mn. following their return from a wedding trip to the Hawaiian Islands, are Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Tompkins, who were married April 18 at Mary, Mother of the Church, Minneapolis, Mn. The Rev. Donald Burns officiated at the double-ring ceremony performed before 150 guests. A reception was held at the Marriott Inn, Minneapolis.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence J. Lilly of St. Paul, Mn., and Mr. and Mrs. Darrel L. Tompkins, Sr., of Neillsville.

For her marriage, the former Miss Deborah Lilly chose a gown of white lace styled with a V-neckline and a large collar forming capped sleeves. Her bouquet of white daisies and baby’s breath matched her headpiece. An elbow-length net veil completed her ensemble.

Bridal attendants were Mrs. Gerald Sturdivant, St. Paul, Mn as matron of honor, and Miss Patti Lilly, Miss Mary Lilly, Miss Susie Kirkpatrick, all of St Paul, and Mrs. Jimmy Pope, Dallas, Tx., as bridesmaids. Their crepe gowns were fashioned of apricot, blue, green, yellow and lilac, respectively.

Barry Siler, San Francisco, Ca., served as bestman. Groomsmen were Jerry Sturdivant of St. Paul, Dr. Dan Schield of Neillsville, Dennis Gall of Marshfield and John Giles of Watonga, Ok. The bride’s brothers Larry, Don and Chris Lilly, seated guests.

The bride who attended the College of St. Catherine, St. Paul, is employed as an airline hostess. Her husband is employed as a communications consultant in the institutional electronics division of a Burnsville firm. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Wisconsin.
