Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Vogt of Port Washington announce the marriage of their daughter, Jeanne Lucille, to Spc. Donald G. Fritsche, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fritsche, Dorchester.

The groom, a 1964 graduate of the Dor-Abby high school, and his bride will be leaving April 16 for Fort Greely, Alaska, where he is stationed for his tour of duty in the army.

The wedding took place Saturday, April 8, at St. Peter’s Catholic church, Port Washington, at 2 p.m. Msgr. Rayner C. Hausman, great uncle of the bride, officiated at the nuptial mass and exchange of promises in a double ring ceremony. The children’s choir sang for the mass.

Attending the bride were Miss Rosie Lanser of route 1, Belgium, Wis., a friend of the bride, as maid of honor, Miss Sue Salms and Miss Lynn Schmidt, both of Port Washington, and the bride’s sister, Mrs. Roy Schmidt, of Kewaskum, as the bridesmaids.

Pfc. Orden Mielke, Fort Eustis, Va., a friend of the groom, was best man. The groomsmen were Jim Nuernberger, cousin of the groom, of Medford, DG 2 Jim Vogt of Cape Mary, N. J., brother of the bride and Roy Schmidt of Kewaskum, a brother-in-law of the bride. Loren Schmidt and Jim Didier ushered.

For her wedding the bride chose a bouffant gown in southern belle silhouette, with an all lace bodice, long sleeves and scalloped lace edge Sabrina neckline. The bouffant skirt of sheer organza had a wide band of lace insertion near the hemline. A chapel train of alternate vertical bands of lace and organza extended from the shoulders. Her elbow-length veil of French illusion was held in place by a queen’s crown of pearls and lace. She carried a cascade bouquet of roses. She was given in marriage by her father.

Her attendants were attired alike in floor-length powder blue dresses with empire waist lines. Bows and tiny velvet flowers detailed the skirts. They wore matching velvet hats with butterfly veils.

About 300 guests attended the reception at Belgium community center where a buffet dinner was served from 3 to seven o’clock.

The bride, a 1964 graduate of the Port Washington high school, was employed in the billing department at St. Alphonsus hospital, Port Washington, before her marriage.
