Mrs. Peter Brant, 29, of West Allis, a former Curtiss area resident, died Thursday, June 1, in a West Allis hospital where she had been a patient almost three months.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the West Allis Borgwardt Funeral Home after which the body was brought to the Polnaszek Funeral Home, Abbotsford, where it lay in state until noon Monday when it was taken to Christ Lutheran church. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler conducted services at 2 o’clock, during which Paul Nixdorf was organist and soloist and sang “Heaven Is My Home” and “Near the Cross”.

The pallbearers for the interment which was made in the Abbotsford cemetery were; Dale Bowen, Arlyn Decker, Richard Hennlich, Lester Krueger, Jack Revie and Wesley Revie.

Mrs. Brant, the former Phyllis Stacke, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stacke, was born Feb. 28, 1938, in the town of Mayville, Clark county. She was educated in Colby schools. She was confirmed June 3, 1951, in Christ Lutheran church, Abbotsford, and her marriage to Peter Brant took place in the same church December 13, 1956.

She lived in West Allis for the past 11 years, having worked there prior to her marriage.

She is survived by her husband and two sons, Patrick, 7, and Paul 6, and daughter Paige Marie, two and one-half months old; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Stacke; a sister, Mrs. William (Dawn) Luzinski of rural Curtiss; a brother, Robert Stacke, Abbotsford; her maternal grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Woik, Owen, and paternal grand mother, Mrs. Augusta Stacke, Neillsville.

Among those who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Hans Amacher and family, Mr. and Mrs. John Brant and son, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Roggenbauer, Wesley Revie, Mrs. Carl Mancuso, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Bowen, Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Henchel, Franklin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Revie and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Revie, Merrill, Mr. and Mrs. Murry Brant and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Brant, Waukesha, the Misses Wanda and Sylvia Stacke, Spencer, and Mr. and Mrs. Arlyn Decker, Germantown, Mrs. Anna Sommer and Mrs. Otto Sommer Jr., Neenah, Mrs. Milton Porath and son, Hal, Syring, Mrs. Roger Zarling, Neenah, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hennlich, New Richmond, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Woik, Owen, Mrs. Lily Wilson, Mrs. Dean Hawks and Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Riedel, Marshfield, Bill Stacke, Wausau, and other relatives from Owen, Withee, Greenwood, Curtiss, Colby and Abbotsford area.

Relatives and friends from Chicago and Sheboygan attended the rites at the West Allis Funeral Home.
