Hameloth, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon (Silver - 20 June 1973)
Gordon Hameloth and the former Etta Jane Martin were married at McCob, Ill., on
June 20, 1948.
Their attendants were Harold Hameloth, Jack Martin, Earl Martin, Jr., and Jean
(Hameloth) Odbert, June (Shover) Overdorf and Julia (Martin) Leonard. Edward
Solomon was the ringbearer, Sandy Clapp was the flower girl, and Mr. Earl Clapp
was the soloist.
Mr. and Mrs. Hameloth have four children: David, Lansing, Ill., is an interne
pastor; Judy, a senior nursing student at Burge, Mo.; Jane, employed at
Northbrook, Ill.; and Sally at home.
After their marriage, Mr. Hameloth attended collect in Minneapolis, Mn, where he
majored in dairying. Prior to his marriage, he spent sixteen months in the Army
Corps at Galesburg, Ill. They lived on the home farm for ten years in Island,
Nebr.
Thirteen years ago they came to Willard and began operating the Rainbow Dairy
Farm. Mrs. Hameloth is also employed part-time as a registered nurse at the
hospital in Neillsville.
Mr. Hameloth has also served as Sunday school superintendent for 22 churches in
Nebraska, Owen-Withee and now at the Assembly of God Church, Neillsville.
Dr. and Mrs. Bahri O. Gungor prepared the festivities on Sunday in Black River
Falls. Forty to fifty people were present at a dinner for the honored couple.
Mr. Hameloth was chosen father of the year by the Missionettes from the Assembly
of God Church in Neillsville.
