Revoy, Dale P. (22 July 1942 - 27 November 2014)

Dale P. Revoy, age 72, of Zephyrhills, FL, formerly of Thorp, WI passed away from esophageal cancer on Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014, at his home while under HPH Hospice care.

Dale was born on July 22, 1942, in Waukegan, IL to William and Jane (Peters) Revoy. He grew up in Zion, IL. He married the love of his life and best friend JoAnne Panek at St. Hedwig’s Chapel in Thorp on November 15, 1969. Dale and JoAnne worked at Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago until 1971 when they moved to Thorp and bough Joe and Estelle Panek’s dairy farm two miles east of Thorp. They farmed for 20 years and raised a beautiful family. After selling the farm in 1991, Dale worked at Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, WI for two years. They he worked at Weather Shield Manufacturing in Greenwood, WI until 1999 when Dale and JoAnne retired to Florida.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, JoAnne Revoy; three daughters: Estelle Revoy of Thorp, WI, Mary Revoy (San Juanita Lopez) of Stone Lake WI, and Amy Peterson of Thorp, WI; three granddaughters: Shelby Meyers of Cadott, Paige and Olivia Peterson of Thorp; and one sister, Carol Gustafson of Wildwood, IL.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Bill and Jane Revoy; two brothers: Bud and Bill; and one sister, Janet Hill.

Dale was a hard-working, strong, loving man, a wonderful father who instilled the value of hard work in his daughters and the other children that passed through his life. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, honesty and being ‘the man with a plan.’

Funeral services will be held in Thorp, WI on December 13, 2014. Visitation will be held at St. Hedwig’s Chapel from 9:30-11:00 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Hedwig’s Country Cemetery. A dinner and celebration of life will the held at the Thorp Senior Center following burial.
