Sternitzky, Gary (Mag. Cover Story - 1973)

Gary Sternitzky, a young farmer who farms a mile east of Granton on Highway 10, is pictured on the cover of the national monthly publication called “Dairy Herd Management.” This is a magazine mailed to all top-notch dairymen in the united States. His colored picture shows him with his dairy beef that he uses to supplement his milking income.

The lead story in the magazine is entitled, “Dairy Beef A La Carte,” with a byline saying, “Adding beef to your dairy operation, a little calf can go a long way.” The article explains how he raises dairy beef as a supplement and how it is financing in part the new house he’s building on his farm.
