At age 75, Jeanette could still be found in her barn milking her dairy cows. Sadly, her husband, Donald, passed away on October 24, 1997.

Her hobbies included softball, bowling, throwing darts, shooting pool and snowmobiling. She also enjoyed embroidery work, quilting and polka dancing. She was never afraid of hard work and loved both working and singing in her barn. Jeanette was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby.

Survivors include her daughter, Dianne (Randy) Cloud of Unity; her two sons, Gary (Mary Ann) Will of Colby and Dennis (Susan) Will of Colby; nine grandchildren, Denise (Andy) Peissig of Tomahawk, Joann Will of Manitowoc, Kevin (Jody) Will of Curtiss, Roxann (Tim) Ebert of Lac du Flambeau, Tori (Eric Cronkright) Cloud of Wheat Ridge, Colo., Anthony (Penni) Cloud of Unity, Travis Will of Colby, Trevor Will of Colby and Tim Will of Colby; and 10 great-grandchildren. Jeanette is further survived by one brother, Ivan (Gloria) Vandeberg of Springfield, Ore.; two sisters, Dorothy (James) Eckes of Marshfield and Shirley (Floyd) Willhite of Springfield, Ore.; along with nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; three brothers, Marvin, Verlyn and Milford; and two sisters, Alice Piper and Rosie Hansen.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Colby. Rev. Daniel Hackel presided. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
