Granton (9 August 1973)

Ronald Quicker accompanied Mr. and Mrs. John Barth to Arpin Sunday where they attended the Arpin Centennial observance and visited with Gay Vandenbergen.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm and Mr. and Mrs. Roger Helm and family, Donald Helm of Marion and Mrs. Lillian Marg of Neillsville helped Mrs. Sammy Seefeldt of Melrose celebrate her birthday Saturday.

The York Center U.M.W. met last Wednesday with Mrs. Arnold Eppers. Mrs. Marcia Crothers presented a recording of ‘Jesus Christ, Superstar.’

Their granddaughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Horst of Hartford, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Emil Henninger. Visitors at the Henninger home earlier in the week were their son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Henninger and their three youngest children, of Neosho.

The Rev. and Mrs. Marvin Davis and children, Margie and Clyde, of Plato, Mo., returned home last Wednesday after spending a week at the home of his mother, Mrs. Myrtie Davis.

The monthly York Center Community club dinner meeting is to be held Wednesday, August 15, at the home of Mrs. Ray Mortimer in Loyal.

Mrs. Hazel Beckert of Chilton and Edward Hofert of Chicago, Il., visited Saturday afternoon with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Van L. Kayser, enroute home from Lac Du Flambeau.

West Fremont Homemakers held a family picnic at the Granton Park Sun day.

Mrs. Lloyd Spry, Mrs. Ethel Berg, Miss Mabel Williams, Mrs. Otto Schmidtke and Mrs. William Schmidtke, together with Mrs. Tab Erickson of Strum, picnicked at the Granton Park Sunday. Mrs. Erickson spent Satruday visiting her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Knoll.
