Plunkett, Bethany Ann (23 AUG 1969)

Bethany Ann Plunkett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick H. Plunkett of 538 Maple St., Chippewa Falls, became the bride of Larry Ketchum, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Orren Ketchum, 826 Woodward Av., Chippewa Falls, on Aug. 23, 1969. The Rev. Eugene Comiskey performed the 1 pin ceremony at Holy Ghost Church, Chippewa Falls.

Miss Vicki Thornton provided traditional organ music for the ceremony. Twelve members of the Diplomats of Harmony Barbershop Chorus, directed by Ricardo Walker, sang "Give Us This day," Help Us Pray," and "Jesus My God, My All."

The bride was given in marriage by her father. For her wedding she chose a floor length bridal gown of linen, Venice lace bordered the elbow length sleeves and the wedding ring collar, complementing the empire styling. Lace also bordered the tunic of the A-lien silhouette, sweeping into a chapel train. Her bouffant veil of sheer bridal illusion was secured to a cluster of pearl edged petals centered on low leaves. She carried orchids with stephanotis and ivy.

Miss Jean Plunkett attended her sister as maid of honor, and her bridesmaid was Miss Jane Ketchum, sister of the groom. The attendants wore floor length empire styled dresses of Karate in maize, fashioned with elbow length sleeves and Bateau necklines. White Venice lace bordered the back panel of the A-line skirts, and their harmonizing veils were secured to a forward cloche. Each carried a long stemmed yellow rose. Kristine Plunkett attended her sister's wedding as flower girl, wearing a floor length empire styled dress of white lace, fashioned with short sleeves and round neckline. White lace bordered the sleeves and neckline. A wide, satin sash completed the dress, which had been designed and made by the bride.

Peter Haverly served as best man and Patrick Plunkett, brother of the bride, was groomsman. Guests were seated by Tom Menard and Steven Zschernitz, the bride's cousin. David Zschernitz, also a cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

The couple greeted their guests at a reception at the Holiday Inn. They will reside at 917 S. Barstow St., Eau Claire. Both are students at WSU – Eau Claire.
