Barth, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond (Silver - 28 August 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Barth of Rt. 1 Granton, observed their 25th wedding anniversary with an open house at their home Saturday afternoon and a dance in at Chili Corners that evening. Three hundred were served for supper.

The Barths were married August 28, 1948, at Zion Lutheran Church by Rev. Lauderbach. They are parents of two sons, Gary and Tom.

Among those who attended the observance were the couple’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Nowack of rural Granton and Mr. and Mrs. John Barth of rural Chili. Mrs. Barth is the former Shirley Nowack.

Members of the bridal party present were Mr. and Mrs. Harold (Norma Barth) Vandenbergen of Berlin, Mrs. Jack True of Clintonville, Mrs. Gilbert Hurtis of Marathon and Mrs. Ralph (Laura Nowack) Riedel, Walter Helm and Marvin Garbisch. The late Edward Jakubofski, a Florida resident at the time of his death, was the eighth attendant.

Also in attendance were: Mr. Barth’s brother and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Barth and daughter of Homosassa Springs, Fl. Guests came as well from Illinois, Minneapolis, Mn, Marshfield, Stanley, Wausau, Eau Claire, Milwaukee, Oshkosh and Cedarburg.

Assisting with the serving were Mrs. Betty Tasse, Mrs. Mary Lee Slark, Mrs. Bev Lavey, Mrs. Edna Lemons, Mrs. Virginia Hanson and Mrs. Margie Barth. The anniversary cake was baked and decorated by Mrs. Frieda Rollins. Sandy Barth and Judy Vandenbergen were in charge of the guest book.
