Geiger, Celine C. (AUG 1967)

St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford, was the scene of the marriage of Celine Catherine Geiger and Leo James Lofland in a 12:30 p.m. ceremony performed by Father Emil Hodnik, pastor.

Music during the ceremony was provided by St. Bernard's Choir.

Parents of the bridal couple are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Geiger of route 1, Abbotsford, and Lt. Col. Ret. And Mrs. Wilmer D. Lofland of Largo, Fla.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Geiger, a brother and sister-in-law of the bride, served as matron of honor and best man. Other attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Darrel Sterzinger of Dorchester, brother-in-law and sister of the bride, and Miss Jacklyn Bauer, Abbotsford, cousin of the groom, and Donald Farning, Abbotsford, a friend of the groom.

The bride appeared in a floor length gown of nylon sheer over taffeta with lace trimming the neckline of the fitted bodice, and rows of lace at the hemline of the full skirt, which fell into a chapel sweep. Her bouffant illusion veil was secured to a petal and floral cluster with seed pearl trim.

The bridal bouquet was colonial style, made of red roses and spider mums.

The attendants wore identically styled floor length formals of lace peau taffeta with a fitted bodice of lace, having a modified scoop neckline and sheer lace sleeves trimmed with taffeta bows. A band of taffeta encircle the natural waistline and the full pleated lace skirt had a large invered pleat of taffeta at front and back, with a taffeta Watteau panel trimming the back of the dress. They were all in the same share of Nile green.

They wore dainty wedding cake crowns of sequin braid trimmed with seed pearl scalloped arcs and pearl and crystal stems to which short bouffant veils of illusion were secured. These were dyed to match the color of their dresses.

The attendants' flowers were baskets of tinted green carnations with dark green ivy.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Curtiss Community Hall, and a buffet supper was served at 4:30 p.m. to about 85 wedding guests.

The bride is employed at Fabritek Inc. of Chippewa Falls and the groom is employed at Frederick Post Co. at Owen. Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will make their home at Stanley at 139 1/2 E. Fourth Avenue.
