Degenhardt, Lawrence (18 AUG 1931 - 25 MAR 2015)

Lawrence Degenhardt, 83, of Ft. Myers, Florida, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Life Care Center in Punta Gorda, Florida.

Lawrence was born Aug. 18, 1931, in Loyal to Leo and Mary (Binder) Degenhardt. He was united in marriage March 19, 1955, to Vivian Gilbertson. She died on April 7, 2014.

Lawrence worked as an electrician in Rockford, Ill., until his retirement and then moved to Florida.

He served in the Army, working on heavy equipment building air fields and roads in Korea from 1952 to 1953.

He is survived by his brother, Paul Degenhardt of Marshfield; and sisters, Madeline Bell, Rosie (Robert) Gregorich, Dorothy (Don) Rothscheit, all of Marshfield, and Barbara (John) Lynskey of Minneapolis, Minn.

He was predeceased by a sister, Alberta Kohl; and a brother, Norbert Degenhardt.

Burial was at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.

He had been under the care of a caretaker, Sandy J. Wynn, for three years. The family appreciates everything she did for our brother.
