Dale A. Amacher of Chicago, Ill. son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred P. Amacher underwent major surgery at the Holy Cross Hospital Tuesday morning. He will be hospitalized about ten days. His mailing address is Holy Cross Hospital, 2761 West 68th St., Room 608, Chicago, Ill.

Mrs. Elmer dearth was dismissed Saturday from Victory Memorial Hospital, Stanley, after being a surgical patient for a week.

Mr. and Mrs. Galen Scharar and family spent Saturday and Sunday visiting doctor’s aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kobussen at Appleton. On Saturday doctor attended a chiropractic meeting in Neenah.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson drove to New Richmond Tuesday to visit at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Weisbrod. Henry continued to Minneapolis where he had a checkup at the Veterans Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. William Klammer left Sunday for Kaukauna, where they are spending a week with his parents, a dinner party which included Mr. and Mrs. Henry Anderson, Mrs. Harry Randall, Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Barager, and Barbara and Jack. Clifford Toraason was also home from Cincinnati. On Saturday night they were hosted for the weekend and returned there Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. J.R. Barager and sons, Jack and Jim, attended the Ice Gymkhana rally at Carson Park Sunday afternoon and were supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Wood. Included at supper, was uncle L.C. Barager, Guy Wood and a student friend from Brazil, who are students at Purdue University and home on a semester break.

Mrs. Elmer Haselow drove to Madison Thursday, bringer her daughter, Linda, home from the university on semester break. Linda is enrolled the second semester at W.S.U. at Eau Claire.

Students home for semester vacations from the U at Madison are Shirley Jensen, Jim Eloranta, Jim and Bill Zelm, Kristi Potocnik, Judy Miller, Nancy Brossow, Jean and Jim Barager.

Ron Kallio, Susy Barrett, Jef Mathewson, Kate Gardner, and Terry Wenzel are home between semesters from Stout State University at Menomonie.

Students home from Eau Claire W.S.U. are Sandra Phillips, Joe Wnukowski, Terry and Roland Woodbeck, Shirley Peterson, Diane Burhop, Bill Conzemius, Diane Herrington, Susan Svenson, and Peggy Boxrucker.

Mrs. Mary Reinertson and and Mrs. Viola Vetterkind accompanied Mr. and Mrs. James Seliskar and children to Madison Sunday, bringing Ralph Reinertson home from the University Hospital where he was a patient for the past three weeks.

Friday forenoon Father Richard Hewetson and Jerry Paulson drove to Nashotah House near Milwaukee, where Saturday morning they attended the ordination of Arthur Hildebrandt to deacon. Enroute home that afternoon they stopped in Madison, picking up Jim Barager, who accompanied them home for a visit during his semester break from studies at the university.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke enjoyed the weekend visiting with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lokken at their cottage on Yellow Lake.

Clifford Toraason of Cincinnati, Ohio visited here at his home over the weekend with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Klammer.
