Heindl, Urban G. (22 JUL 1923 - 16 AUG 2015)

Urban G. Heindl, age 92, of Abbotsford, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, August 20 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester. Father Peter Manickam will officiate. Interment will follow at the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, August 19 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service all at the church. His grandchildren will serve as casket bearers. The Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Dorchester is entrusted with the arrangements.

Urban was born July 22, 1923 the son of Nick and Elizabeth (Leonard) Heindl in the Town of Holton. He was united in marriage to Rose Mary Leger on October 20, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Marshfield. She preceded him in death on December 4, 1993. Together they farmed in the Town of Holton. Urban was also the proud owner of Heindl Electric for 67 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Dorchester.

Urban is lovingly survived by his five children: Daniel Heindl of Abbotsford, Kathleen Heindl of Homer, AK, Charleen (John) Zachman of Albertville, MN, Elizabeth (Mark) Folz of Wausau and Diane (Brian) Spangberg of Wausau; six grandchildren: Ashley (Austin) Bishop, Kyle Heindl, Rose (Steve) McCann, Amy (Mitch) Otto, Miranda Spangberg, and Erich Spangberg; 4 Great-Grandchildren: Violet and baby on way, Robert and Baylee; He is further survived by two sisters-in-law, Janice Heindl of Colby and Alice Heindl of Medford; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rose Mary; his son; Charles, and six siblings; Eugene, Father Francis, Father Art, Bernard, Jim, and Helen.
