Martens, Mr./Mrs. Emil (58th – 9 NOV 1968)

Mr. and Mrs. Emil J. Martens were given a dinner party by their children and families at Pecks Plantation, Wautoma, on Saturday, Nov. 9, 1968, in honor of Mrs. Martens' 80th birthday and their 58th wedding anniversary.

Those attending the dinner were Mr. and Mrs. George Roth and daughter, Carolyn, of Unity, Mr. and Mrs. Helmuth Kuester, Miss Caroline Martens, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Duve and daughter, Barbara, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kuester and daughter, Diane, Mr. and Mrs. John Laabs and son, Johnnie, Miss Karen Rose Kuester and girlfriend, Jeanie, of Milwaukee, and Miss Eileen Roth of St. Francis.

Among the many gifts received by the couple was a portable radio set.

Mrs. Martens was also presented with an orchid corsage and birthday cake.
