Potts, Marian Jane (30 NOV 1968)

Miss Marian Jane Potts of route 2, Athens, and Michael Richard Wilson, Richland Center, were married Saturday, Nov. 30, 1968, in a 12 noon ceremony at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Milan.

Parents of the young couple are Mr. and Mrs. Charles Potts of route 2, Athens, and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilson of Richland Center.

The Rev. Charles Schumacher presided at the ceremony. Regular mass songs were sung by the choir.

Attendants of the couple were Wayne Gregory, route 2, Athens, a brother-in-law of the bride, and Darlene Gregory, a sister of the bride, route 2, Athens, as the best man and matron of honor. Other attendants were LeRoy, Kralcik, Milan, a cousin of the bride, Tom Fouts, Richland center, a friend of the groom, Holly Kralcik, Milan, Linda Wilson, a sister of the groom Richland Center.

The bride chose a full gown with a circular chapel train, fashioned of Chantilly lace over taffeta. The bodice, cut to a V at the center of the fitted natural waistline, had a scalloped scoop neckline beaded with sequins and long sleeves. A narrow cummerbund of taffeta extended from the sides of the waistline to the back, trimmed with a large flat bow. The veil of silk was secured to a double crown sequin braid and lace, trimmed with pearls and crystals.

Her bouquet was of red roses and white carnations.

The bridesmaids wore identically styled floor length formals of sheer over white lace lined with colored taffeta to match the sheer, with the maid of honor in hot pink and the others in Limoges blue. The fitted empire bodices had scoop necklines and elbow length sleeves. The skirts were A-line, and the back of each was a full cage. Headpieces were velvet florals and taffeta leaves, with short halo veils tinted to match the dresses.

Their bouquets were of carnations matching the colors of the dresses.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Prochnow's Ballroom in the afternoon. A supper was served at the church hall, and in the evening there was a dance at Prochnow's.

Both have been employed as factory workers. They will be making their home at 541 N. Park Street, Richland Center.
