Granton (31 January 1974)

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoeft spent Wednesday and Thursday of last week with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Braatz and family, at Plover. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Olsen of rural Greenwood were Friday visitors at the Hoeft home, where Mrs. Marie Hanson and sons of Marshfield were Sunday afternoon visitors and supper guests.

Royal Neighbors Fidelity Camp No. 6375 is to meet January 31 at the home of Mrs. Verla Hales.

Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth entertained the Friendly Neighbors Club Friday evening for the group’s annual oyster supper.

Donald Helm of Marion spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm. Sunday dinner guests at the Helm home also included Mr. and Mrs. Roger Helm and family.

The UMW of the York Center United Methodist Church is to meet Wednesday, February 6, with Mrs. George Bixby.

Patrick and Penny Ule, the children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ule, spent Saturday with their great-grandmother, Mrs. Myrtie Davis.

Mrs. William Lehmann and Mrs. Ray Hoeft will be hostesses for the February 6 meeting of the Ladies Aid society of Zion Lutheran Church. The group will meet at 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wegner visited Saturday evening with the Ernest Kieslings of Pittsville.

Weekend visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero were their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ayala and family of Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Lautenbach of Sauk City and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Lautenbach of Rhinelander were weekend visitors of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Lautenbach, and attended the wedding of their sister, Marjorie, to Joseph Felser on Saturday. Other weekend guests at the Lautenbach home were Mr. Lautenbach’s father and sister, Oscar Lautenbach and Mrs. Beatrice Schultz of Reedsburg.
