Freimund, Suzanne "Suzie" Faye (Marschner) (31 JAN 1946 - 9 SEP 2015)

Suzanne "Suzie" Faye (Marschner) Freimund, age 69, of Athens, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield, with her family by her side.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Milan, officiated by Pastor Mark Schwalenberg. Family and friends are welcome from 3:30-7:30 PM at Maurina-Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford on Sunday, September 13, 2015, and Monday from 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.

Suzie was born on January 31, 1946, the daughter of Lawrence and Eila Anne Marschner in the Township of Browning, Taylor County. She attended school in the Medford School District. Suzy was united in marriage to James "Jim" Freimund on February 8, 1964 in Medford, WI.

Suzie worked for H&R Block for 29 years. She also worked for Weinbrenner Shoes, Figi's, Tombstone, Kolbe & Kolbe, and dry wall finishing. Suzy helped to start the Milan Little League and Junior League Softball Program. Suzy was known as a mother hen to many. She will greatly be missed by many.

Suzie is survived by her husband of 51 years; James; three daughters, Jane (Dan) Becker of Edgar, Marilee (Mike) Neuman of Milan, and Vicki (LeRoy) Dassow of Wisconsin Rapids, 1 granddaughter: Megan Neuman, and three sisters; Mona (Ronald) Anderson of Westen, Unetta (fiance, Roger Gumz) of Butler, and Cheri (Mike) Plooy of Medford. She is further survived by six brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, an uncle, several nieces and nephews, and many pseudo grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son; Bradley Freimund; 2 sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, a brother-in-law, and a niece.
