NHS Class of 1960 (55th Reunion - 3 October 2015)

The Neillsville High School (NHS) Class of 1960 met Oct. 3, to celebrate its 55th reunion. The day started at the high school at 9 a.m. with classmates greeting each other as they boarded the bus for a tour of area sites. The first stop was at Holland’s Family Cheese in Thorp where they received a tour at both the farm and cheese store. Onward to Cadott to Cabin Ridge Rides where a horse-drawn wagon met the bus and took the classmates through the woods to an outdoor wedding chapel and lodge. After a hot lunch at the lodge, the group returned via horse-drawn wagon to the bus. The next stop was the Leinenkugel Brewing Co. in Chippewa Falls where the group toured the brewery and sampled several different brews of the company’s beer. From three, the group traveled to their old haunt, the Lake Arbutus Pavilion in Hatfield, formerly the old roller skating rink, for a buffet dinner. After dinner, they returned back to the NHS parking lot. The following day, Craig and JoAnn Blum entertained classmates for a brunch at their home in Neillsville.
