Mr. and Mrs. Henry Kurz visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe on Wednesday evening.

Bob Gregorich stopped here on Thursday morning to inform us that their 4th grade grandson, Mark, had broken his thigh and is at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield. Mark would appreciate cards and letters during his month stay, Bob said.

Cornelius Fellenz, Ed Gunz, and Bill Rahm visited Julius Schrader Friday evening. It was Julius’ 77th birthday. Best wishes! Your truly, and Mike, Ken and Ray also stopped in.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Weiler and sons spent Labor Day weekend at their cabin in Indiana.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mews Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Mews both of Marshfield won Thursday mixed couples summer Championship in Spencer. Wednesday night they received their trophies at a banquet held at the Hotel Charles in Marshfield. The Mews are sons and daughters-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Mews Sr.

Frank Fabian Jr. was released from the Neillsville Hospital on Tuesday after spending 5 days there due to a bump on the head at school.

Mrs. Art Falk and Mrs. Ross Stevens were callers at the Herb Fensome home on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe went for a drive over the Mackinac bridge on Saturday and returned home around Chicago on Monday night.

Mr. and Mrs. Julius Rennack and Mrs. Laura Luchterhand attended the Senior Citizens Club at the Loyal Catholic Community Hall on August 31. Three different kinds of cards and Bingo was played, with prizes for the winners.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gower and Sally of Appleton were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vanderhoof and sons.

Mrs. Anna Falconer of Belvidere, Ill. spent 2 weeks visiting with the Earl Falconer family and on Wednesday and Thursday she visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ray Metcalfe.

Mr. and Mrs. Archie Vanderhoof and family of Sturdevant were Labor Day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vanderhoof and sons.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Weiler and sons visited at the Henry Kurz home one evening.

Mrs. Charles Vanderhoof held a toy party at her home on Tuesday evening.

The sad day arrived on Tuesday, Sept. 1, when the new addition (Christopher Mercer) of the Henry Kurz family was returned to his Madison mother, Mrs. Carol Mercer, by E. Phillips, a Dane County case worker. We will all miss ‘Dino’ greatly, as he had been part of this family for six months and two days.
