Hium, JoAnn C. (29 AUG 1970)

Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) was the setting for the wedding of Miss JoAnn C. Hium, 1238 Graham Ave., Eau Claire, and Jerome B. Hoffman of Crandon, Saturday, Aug. 29, 1970.

The Rev. David E. Wegner, pastor, officiated at the 3 p.m. service and the bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Hium, route 3, Greenwood, was given in marriage by her father to the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marney Hoffman, Crandon.

Organist was Mrs. Lil Warner and a duet was sung by the Rev. and Mrs. Arvid Myhrwold.

A lace trimmed sheer dress over blue satin and a veil which formed a grain was worn by the bride. She carried a bouquet of white gladioli and blue tinted carnations.

Bridal aides – Miss Peggy Hium, Greenwood, maid of honor, and Miss Joan Hoffman, Crandon, Miss Darla Hium, Greenwood and Mrs. Nancy Kodl, Eau Claire, bridesmaids, were in floor length blue print dresses and white crocheted hats with streamers to match the dresses.

Each carried a butterfly bouquet of white gladioli.

In the groom’s party were David Hoffman, Crandon, as best man, and Larry Bauknecht, Three Lakes, Larry Hartleben, Wittenberg, and Ray Kodl of Eau Claire, as groomsmen.

Wayne Turnquist of Greenwood and Ed Quade of Crandon seated wedding guests at the church.

After the church services, dinner was served in the dining hall of the church, and later a reception took place at the American Legion Hall in Greenwood.

Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman are making their home in Eau Claire. He graduated there from District I Technical Institute and she in May of this year from Wis. State University.
