Routar, Anna (10 JUL 1889 – 2 APR 1957)

Anna Gionetti, daughter of the late John and Mary (Medesovic) Gionetti, was born in Zatilog, Yugoslavia on July 10, 1889, and came to the United States in 1920 and lived for some time with her sister in Chicago.

On Sept. 20, 1922 she was united in marriage with John Routar of Willard (Clark Co.), Wis., at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Chicago. They came immediately to Willard, where they have resided ever since.

Mrs. Routar was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, its Christian Mother's Society and Mary Help of Christians Society (K.S.K.J.)

Mrs. Routar, who has been in ill health for some time, was a patient at the River Pines Sanitarium at Stevens Point for the past month. She passed away there at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 1957 from a stroke.

The body was brought to the Hill Funeral Parlors, where a general rosary was said at 8:00 p.m. Thursday.

A Requiem Mass was read at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 5th. The Rev. Father Augustine Svete, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

The pallbearers were Frank Lamovec, John F. Trunkel, John Horvat, Tony Gosar, Howard Verhagen and Edward Bukovec.

Mrs. Routar is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Milton (Anne) Collier, Mrs. Walter (Clara) Hribar, Greenwood; Miss Jenny Routar, Elgin, Ill., and one son, John Jr., at home; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister who passed away in Chicago in 1954.

Those from away who attended the funeral were Miss Jenny Routar, Elgin, Ill.; Mrs. Johanna Rievich and Miss Dolores Stayer, Chicago.
