Adams, Richard H. (10 JAN 1929 - 22 DEC 2015)

Richard H. Adams, 86, Wausau, died Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

He was born January 10, 1929 in Athens, son of the late Frank and Agnes (Fink) Adams.

On September 16, 1950 he married Rosella Kaldunski in Athens. She preceded him in death on December 5, 2009.

Richard served his country in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953 during the Korean War. He enjoyed playing the concertina and for the past 5 years played at several area nursing homes and assisted living facilities bringing much joy to the residents. Richard was an avid Packers and Brewers fan and loved spending time camping with his children. He also enjoyed fishing and taking hunting trips to Oregon. In 2013 he was proud to be on the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. Above all he cherished the time spent with his children, granddaughter "Boop" and great-granddaughter "Little Boop".

Survivors include his four children, Robert (Carol) Adams, Sisters, Ore., Darlene (Patrick) Hollander, Ringle, Lynn (Dale) Krause, Wausau and Scott (special friend, Vicki) Adams, Wausau; a daughter-in-law, Krista Janz, Wausau; one granddaughter, Nicole (Christopher) Nack, Ashland; great-granddaughter, Sophia Nack; two brothers, George (Betty) Adams, Rockford, Ill. and Jerry (Jean) Adams, Minocqua; one sister, Betty (Ben) Ryskiewicz, St. Germaine; two young ladies that held a special place in his heart, Kaylea and Dannah Marsolek.

Besides his parents and wife, Rosella, he was preceded in death by a son, Roger, two brothers, Frank Jr. and Bernard, five sisters, Loretta, Ruth, Marie, Florence and Dorothy. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at Noon on Tuesday, December 29, 2015 at the Church of St. Anne, Wausau. Rev. Alan T. Burkhardt will preside.

Entombment will be in Memorial Chapel Mausoleum, Restlawn Memorial Park, Wausau. Friends may call Monday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, 1302 Sixth Street, Wausau and again on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church.

The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff at Aspirus Palliative Care for the kind, compassionate care given to Richard.
