Miss Linda R. Johnson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lorris Johnson of Colby, was united in marriage to Alexander J. Orlikowski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Orlikowski, Athens, Saturday, January 18, 1969, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Colby, with the Rev. John Olson performing the ceremony.

The bride was attired in a white floor length gown with a bodice of Chantilly lace and sequin trim at the neckline. A slim skirt of nylon sheer over taffeta with a chapel train attached at the shoulders completed the dress. She wore a bouffant illusion veil secured to a bow and petal cluster headpiece with pearl and crystal trim. She carried a cascade arrangement of spider mums and yellow sweetheart roses intertwined in ivy.

The maid of honor was Miss Molly Orlikowski of Athens and the bridesmaid was Miss Myrna Augustine of Marshfield.

The attendants wore moss green floor length formals, empire style, with patterned velvet bodice and slim skirts of crepe with Watteau panels of satin. They wore matching headpieces with poof veils and carried crescent designs of yellow pompons, accented with Camelia foliage and white lace bells.

The best man was Roger Bunkelman of Abbotsford, and the groomsman was James Johnson of Colby.

Festivities of the day included a reception, dinner and dance at the Trianon Ballroom.

The bride attended Colby High School and graduated in 1966. She also attended the Accredited School of Beauty Culture and graduated in 1967. She is presently employed at Helen’s Style Shop in Colby.

The groom graduated from Athens High School and also from the U.S. Army GED. He is presently employed at ABCO Incorporated at Abbotsford.

The couple will be residing in Abbotsford.
