Oestreich, Debra K. (3 JUL 1955 – 3 FEB 2016)

Debra K. Oestreich, age 60, of Loyal, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at her residence.

Her funeral service will be held at 6 PM on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at Loyal Methodist Church in Loyal. Committal services will take place in Loyal Lutheran Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday at the church in Loyal from 4PM until time of services. Acting as her pallbearers will be Doug Luchterhand, Jamie Tetzlaff, Josh VanDusen, Eric Schultz and Joe Meacham.

Debra was born on July 3, 1955 in Minnesota, the daughter of Daniel and Kay (Armstrong) Gallagher. After attending Neillsville High School, she worked as a certified nursing assistant in the nursing home at Neillsville Memorial Hospital. She was dedicated to her work there, always wanting to make the lives of the residents there just a little more comfortable, just a little nicer. On October 28, 1978 she married her best friend, David Oestreich, in the Loyal Methodist Church. He survives . She later worked at the Hardee's restaurant in Neillsville and once again loved brightening up the mornings of the patrons who came to share a cup of coffee and conversation with Debra. She also was employed at the Kwik Trip Store located in Spencer for over 2 years.

She loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Whether it was watching NASCAR racing, cooking up some of her famous concoctions in the kitchen, going fishing, trying "lady luck" at the casino with her special friend Darlene and her mother Kay, going to Karaoke Night with family, crocheting beautiful blankets with her patient and gifted hands or maybe just sitting quietly watching the geese fly over at her home, Debra loved it all. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Survivors include her loving husband David Oestreich of Loyal, her children: Chris (Heidi) Oestreich of Neillsville, Travis (Miranda) Oestreich of Spencer and Ashley (Chris) Syryczuk of Loyal; her grandchildren: Daniel and Krystal Oestreich, Marcie Oestreich, Bryson Syryczuk, Rylee Oestreich and two soon to be "bundles of joy"; her parents: Kay Gallagher of Neillsville and Daniel Gallagher of Tomah. Debra is further survived by her siblings: Scott (Catherine) Gallagher of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Jay Gallagher of Neillsville and Kim (Dana) Meacham of Marshfield, Jamie Gallagher of Neillsville and Tiffany Gallagher of Neillsville; a special friend and neighbor Darlene Capes and Debra's canine companion "Rizzo' along with many other relatives and friends.

Debra was preceded in death by her uncle Jerry Armstrong.
