Mr. and Mrs. Bill Weirich and son, Bryan, of Hurley spent this week vacationing with their parents, Mr. and Mr. Wilbur Weirich and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moennig. Friday evening they had their son, Bryan, baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church, and then following had a party and get-together for a few relatives and friends at the Washburn Store. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pretsch of Stratford were sponsors for Bryan.

The Cannonville Ladies Aid will meet at the church Wednesday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m. A lunch will be served following the meeting.

Bible study will be held at the Albert Lincoln home this (Thursday) evening.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Meddaugh spent from Tuesday until Friday as chaperones at Spooner with the Granton FFA boys.

Larry and Loren Meddaugh and a Walters’ boy of Granton went to Ely, Mn, Friday to spend a week canoeing through Minnesota and into Canada. Mark Kingsbury is doing chores for Larry.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pretsch and family of Stratford spent Satruday night with his mother, Mrs. Wanda Pretsch. Other visitors at the Pretsch home Satruday night were: Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jelinek and Roger, Mr. and Mrs. Harry King and family, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Krause and son, Mr. and Mrs. Byno Lloyd, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dux, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trachte, Em Mortenson, Bob Mortenson and daughter, Collene, and sons, Douglas and Bob, Kathy Steponic, Earl Hanson, Duane Lloyd, and Alvin Krause. They gathered in honor of Mrs. Pretsch’s birthday.

Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Vandeberg of Wisconsin Rapids entertained about 26 relatives and close friends Sunday at dinner and supper in honor of the graduation of her brother, Marvin, from Neillsville High School. The event was held at their cottage near Hatfield.

Mrs. Jim Johnson and daugher from Tennessee, and Mrs. Quan of Appleton, called on Mrs. Art Odell and Mrs. Chris Feutz last Thursday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley, Mrs. Jim Johnson, Mrs. Qualley are cousins.

Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz and Lawrence Reinart of Wind lake spent from Friday until Monday with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr and Mrs. Myron Turner, at Eagle River, then arrived here Monday and spent until Saturday at their trailer home and visited relatives. They went to Tomah Satruday to visit the Bill, Joseph and George Reinart families for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Hallie Schultz of Omro spent all week at the Schultz trailer home, also.

Mrs. Jack Bower, Mrs. Roy Barth and Mrs. George Gorbet called Saturday at the Mrs. Art Odell home.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert (Jim) Kapfer of West Bend visited his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer, Sunday evening. They spent several days with her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams, and attended the graduation of Marvin Williams Thursday evening and also the party in his honor at the Vandeberg cottage Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Pretsch and family of Stratford spent Friday night with his mother, Mrs. Wanda Pretsch and Earl.

Mrs. Bud Bremer, Mrs. Harold Elmendorf and Carrie Sexton called Monday evening at the Ralph Short home.

Mr. and Mrs. Jack Urban, Mr. and Mrs. David Vine and Mrs. Irving Stevens picnicked near Hatfield Monday in honor of Mrs. Vine’s birthday.

Mrs. Gerry Lincoln and son, and her sister and Norma Lincoln of Minneapolis called Sunday at the Mrs. Art Odell home.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Dahnert, Mr. and Mrs. Kent Lonning, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reinart and Mrs. Donald Kalsow and daughter, Barbara, and son Wayne, picnicked at the John Reinart home Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Meddaugh and family and Mrs. Neil Meddaugh attended the graduation party Sunday at the Walters home and the graduation party at the Francis Steiner home Sunday evening in honor of their son’s graduation from Granton High School.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer attended the senior citizens county meeting at the Owen-Withee High School Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., visited Thursday and were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short.

Mrs. Charles Northrup and family and Mrs. Margie Odell and son of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Bower of Wisconsin Rapids, called Monday at the Mrs. Art Odell home.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reinart, Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Reinart spent Tuesday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz of Wind Lake at their trailer home.

Mrs. Elmer Kapfer called on Mrs. Irving Stevens Thursday.

Mrs. Merle Austin called on Mrs. Art Odell Wednesday evening.

Jean, Lorraine and Norma Lincoln, Debbie Hutcheson and Ellen Starkey of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Albert Lincoln attended the wedding of their friends, Judy Kolenso and Mark Rather, at Appleton Friday afternoon.
