Mrs. Aug. Halbrader and daughter, Mrs. C. Peterson, entertained a large number of relatives and friends on Christmas Day. The afternoon and evening was spent in dancing and at about 7:30 Santa made his appearance, which amused the children greatly. The guests were all remembered with useful gifts. Among those present were Mr. and Mrs. J. Landis, Mr. and Mrs. W. Landis, Mr. and Mrs. E. Landis, Mr. and Mrs. W. Humboldt and family, Mr. and Mrs. G. Halbrader and family, Mr. and Mrs. L. Glasow and baby and Mr. and Mrs. O. Olson.

Elsie Bertholt left for Greenwood Monday after spending Christmas with home folks.

Mr. and Mrs. George Boyer returned from Fairchild Friday after spending Christmas with Mrs. Boyer’s parents.

Frank Lange is improving slowly.

Emil Dux came home Saturday after being mustered out at Camp Grant.

Emil Dux and Stella Humboldt visited at the Aug. Halbrader and Frank Lange homes Sunday.

O.W. Pritchett drove to Neillsville Saturday.

O. Olson is decorating the interior of the new school house.

There will be an old fashioned New Year’s party on the J. Landis ranch Tuesday night.

Mrs. O. Pritchett’s brother, who has been visiting her the last week, returned to his home in Plattville Tuesday morning.

Harold and Marie McCune left Monday for Waterloo, Iowa, to visit relatives.

We are glad to hear that Ella Voight is up and around again.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Glasow spent Sunday afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Tony Spaiega.

Our cheesemaker, G. Burge, went to Granton Tuesday to spend New Year’s with home folks.

The New Year’s party at the J. Landis home was a jolly one and did not break up until the wee small hours of morning.

A number of friends were entertaining at the O. Olson home New Year’s day and evening.

A. Reebe of North Dakota is visiting at the A. Halbrader and A. Voight homes.

W.J. Landis returned to Milwaukee Saturday after spending the holidays with his family.

Aug. Halbrader and Lewis Glasow were Willard callers Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Tony Spaiega took dinner with Mr. and Mrs. O.W. Pritchett Sunday evening.

Mrs. C. Walker called at the L. Glasow home Sunday afternoon.

Ella Voight and Stella Humboldt are on the sick list again. Dr. Frank is attending them.

Our new school opens today with Mrs. C. Walker as instructor.

The John Schwamb family spent New Year’s Day with A. Schwamb and George Halbrader and their families.

George Manthey and Frank McCune attended the W.E. Palms funeral.

Mrs. W.E. Palms and Mrs. J. H. Palms have the sincere sympathy of this community in their bereavement.
