Christie (23 Jan 1919)

The Red Cross Sewers met at Mrs. Rose Broker’s last Thursday and a goodly number were out.

Fred Babee, Arthur Barton, Sidney Morse, Fred Wendt and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Buettner were among the crowd that attended the school board convention at Neillsville the 15th.

Louis Brown rented his farm to his brother, Roscoe, and Louis bought a house from Sidney Morse and will move to Christie.

Henry Yunker and Ernest Gossa made a business trip to Colby Thursday.

Quite a few from around here attended the Turner auction last Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. F. Buettner called at the Charley Runge home Thursday evening.

Ernest Gossa is busy cutting logs on the Yunker farm for his new barn, which he will build next spring.

The R. Schaele family and Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Buettner visited at the Gossa home Sunday evening.

Henry Yunker and family called at the Buckholtz home Sunday.

Vivian Buettner attended the surprise party at Parker Metcalf’s Saturday evening.

Mrs. Rose Broker entertained the Ladies’ Aid dinner last Thursday.

Mrs. Clinton Asplin is able to sit up.

R.F. Skiff was seen on our road last week, breaking a colt.
