In Florida on a honeymoon trip are Mr. and Mrs. Richard U. Kintzler, who were married at 2 p.m. Friday, December 4th, 1959 by the Rev. John H. Ashley in a setting of white snapdragons, mums, and tapers in candelabra in Memorial Baptist Church, Fond du Lac. The bride is the former Carol Jean Berrett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Berrett, Granton (Clark Co., Wis.). Mr. and Mrs. U.S. Kintzler, 290 Linden Street, are the bridegroom's parents. Miss Gladys Grundman played the Wedding March from Lohengrin.
Miss Beverly Berrett was her sister's maid of honor, and the bridegroom's sisters, sue and Mary, bridesmaids. Loren F. Brown served as best man, and the bride's brother, Alan, and a cousin, James Berrett, were groomsmen. Ushering guests at the church were Calvin Voight and Stanley Bird. Miss Mary Voie, the bride's cousin, sang "Because" and "The Lord's Prayer."
The bride's gown of pure silk organza with a Sabrina neckline and long tapered sleeves of lace in the empire style bodice. The floor length skirt was trimmed with lace insets. The fingertip length veil was held by a half –hat of sequins and pearls. A yellow throated white orchid centered the bride's bouquet of yellow roses and ivy. She was given in marriage by her father.
The young women attendants were gowned alike in embroidered taffeta sheath frocks of royal blue with matching redingotes styled with small collars and large front bow trim. They wore matching velvet petal and rhinestone clip hats with tiny veils. Yellow pompon mums and cattails were arranged with wheat and ribbon loops in their wedding ring bouquets.
The reception in Fellowship Hall at the church was attended by 175 guests. The bride attended Bob Jones University at Greenville, S.C., and the bridegroom took an agricultural course at the University of Wisconsin. The bride is on the staff at the A.C. Nielsen Company and the bridegroom is engaged in farming.
The couple will reside on Route 2, Fond du Lac, upon their return from Florida.
