Romsdahl in the Deronda Lutheran Church on July 17, 1921, and confirmed in that faith by Rev. H.W. Scobey on November 19, 1935. During the first seven years of his life, he spent much time with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Jerdee, at Deronda.

He completed the eight grades at Deronda State Grade School, and graduated from Amery High School in 1938. From then until September 1949 he worked for his father on his farm at Deronda.

In September 1949, believing that God was so leading, he matriculated at Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota, and he graduated in August 1952. On April 9, 1950, while a student at Concordia, he was united in marriage to Adeline V. Johnson of Clear Lake, Wisconsin. To this union have been born three children: Deborah, on April 13, 1951; Peter, on January 31, 1953; and Kristine, on March 4, 1955.

He has been serving the Midland, Deep Creek, Trinity and Immanuel congregations at Midland, S.D.
