Lucia, Marcella L. (Tallmann) (17 MAR 1930 - 26 FEB 2016)

Marcella L. Lucia, age 85 of N9018 Lucia Road, Westboro, passed away on Friday, February 26 at her residence in the Town of Westboro, under the loving care of her family and Ascera Care Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 1 at Woodland Community Church, N8609 Business Highway 13, Westboro. Duane Harper, Pastor of Spirit Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Mount Olive Cemetery, Westboro.

Pallbearers are Dan Hensley, Pete Kostner, Mike, Damian, Gunner & Bob Lucia.

VISITATION: 4-8 PM on Monday, February 29 at Hemer Funeral Home, Rib Lake and also at church from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 1

Marcella was born on March 17, 1930 at Medford, to August and Ida Margaret (Schuette) Tallmann.

She attended Thielke Elementary School, Town of Medford and Medford High School.

Marcella married on February 22, 1964, at the Medford United Methodist Church to Robert “Bob” Lucia.

Prior to her marriage, she worked at Saturday Craft, Ideal Café & Henline’s Laundry all in Medford. After her marriage, she worked as a housewife & mother until her children were grown. Then she worked as a supervisor at Beverly Health Care, Rib Lake until her retirement. She enjoyed cross country skiing, gardening flowers, hunting with her husband, country music, the Rhinelander Hodag, bird watching, and her Pontiac car.

She attended the Spirit Baptist Church.

Marcella is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Lucia of Westboro; children Daniel (Deb) Hensley of Medford and Michael Lucia of Westboro; grandchildren Tina Gyrkos, Tiffany Leu, Steven Hensley, Damian, Gunner and Keesha Lucia; great-great grandchildren, Olivia Lucia, Harper Hensley, Jackson Sietz, Tori and Collin Nutting.

She is also survived by siblings, Ray Tallmann of Medford, Ruth (Rufus) Sween of Sherwood, WI, Elaine Maier of Kenosha, Arlene (Jim) Van Duser of Wisconsin Rapids, and Esther (Pete) Kostner of Medford.

She is predeceased by her parents, August and Ida Margaret (Schuette) Tallmann; son Robert J. Lucia, Jr. in 1986; siblings, Elmer & Ralph Tallmann, and Martha Haglund.
