Noah, Mr./Mrs. Emil (45th - 17 DEC 1970)

Sunday, December 27, 1970, was a special day for Mr. and Mrs. Emil Noah, who celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary. They and their eight children and their families attended services at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the forenoon. At noon they were served dinner by the Legion Auxiliary at the Legion club Room, where open house was held from 2 to 5 p.m., about 200 attended the event.

Mr. and Mrs. Noah were married December 17, 1925, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Braun, by the Rev. Otto Vriesen.

They lived on their farm in the town of Mead (Clark Co., Wis.) until a year ago, when they moved into the Fravert residence in the town of Warner.

Mr. Noah was Chairman of Mead for over 20 years, is a World War I Veteran, and at present is a director of the Warner Mutural Town Insurance Co.

Mrs. Noah has been active in Homemakers some 30 years and was a 4-H leader for 12 years.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Noah are active members of Immanuel, he having served as deacon and she as Guild president.

The Noah’s are the parents of ten children: Frederick Hawthorne, California; Norman, Oconto, Wisconsin; Evelyn, Mrs. Orville Hoffmann, Milwaukee; Bernelda, Mrs. Wilton Karlen, Owen; Herbert, Kewaunee; Arvilla, Mrs. Robert Blunck, Union Grove, Wisconsin; Verlan, Thorp; Arlene, Mrs. Robert Stark, Neillsville; Elmer, Greenwood; Kathleen, Mrs. Richard Fitzl, Wonder Lake, Ill.

They have 32 grandchildren.

Among the friends and relatives attending were Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Noah and family, Sacramento, California; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Blunck and family of West Bend; Rev. and Mrs. Lee Holmes, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schwarze and David, Minneapolis, and SP4 Dennis Fitzl, Vietnam, and many from surrounding areas.
