Irvine, Jacqueline (2 SEP 1961)

Honeymooning in northern Wisconsin are Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Rogstad of Milwaukee, who were married Saturday afternoon, September 2, 1961, at 1:30 o'clock in Immanuel United Church of Christ, Greenwood, by the Rev. Orval Egbert.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rogstad, Milwaukee, and the bride, the former Miss Jacqueline Ann Irvine, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Quinton A. Irvine, Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.).

Mrs. Alvin Albert was the organist and Miss Linda Tieman sang "O Promise Me" and "The Lord's Prayer." Bouquets of white and blue tinted gladioli were placed on the church altar and the pews were marked with white and blue bells.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of rose pattered Chantilly lace and bridal tulle with a lace bodice featuring a Sabrina neckline with scalloped edge. The bouffant skirt was designed with alternate panels of scalloped lace and tulle down the front and wide ruffles of lace and tulle cascading down the back from waist to hemline.

Her pure silk illusion imported veil was held by a lace pillbox designed with pearl-edged petals painted across the forehead.

The bride's bouquet was an arrangement of red roses, white stephanotis and feathered chrysanthemums.

The bridal aides were Miss Dorene Irvine, Milwaukee, the maid of honor, and Mrs. Tim Gruber and Miss Phyllis Rogstad, Milwaukee, and Misses Sandra and Diane Liebzeit, Greenwood, were the bridesmaids.

They wore light blue chiffon over taffeta with lace jackets and their headpieces were pearl trimmed crowns with circular face veils. Each aide carried a bouquet of white feathered chrysanthemums with pink roses.

Debbie Liebzeit of Greenwood was the miniature bride and had flowers like the bride, and Kathy Larson, Greenwood, was the flower girl and had flowers like the bridesmaids.

Serving as best man was Fritz Mani, Rice Lake, and as groomsmen, John Dietrich, Rice Lake; Tim Gruber, Milwaukee; and Eldon Liebzeit and Phillips Vollrath, Greenwood.

Victor Irvine and Jack Barr, Milwaukee, ushered wedding guests from Milwaukee, Rice Lake, Sparta, Spooner, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Manitowish, Colby, Loyal and from Owatonna, Minn.

The wedding reception was held at the bride's parent's home and the 4 p.m. dinner was served in the church dining room. That evening Howie Sturtz's Orchestra provided music for dancing at the Siler Dome.

The bride, a 1955 graduate of Greenwood High School, is employed by Briggs and Stratton Corp., Milwaukee. Her husband, who was graduated in 1953 from Rice Lake High School, is an employee of the Bell Telephone Co., Milwaukee. They will reside in Milwaukee.
