The Class of 1953 of greenwood High School held it 10 year reunion at the high school, followed by a following at the Legion Hall.

After the doxology was sung, led by Charles Ivey, a dinner was served by the Catholic Church ladies group. Toastmaster for the evening was Donald Dallman, during which time he presented this bit of original poetry:

"With fond memories we all return today –
To the place from whence we commenced, hooray!
I remember it as if it were yesterday –
That day on which we commenced, oh say!
There's a question I'd like to have answered,
Which has bothered me since I shook all your hands, sir.
How come I've remained you, slim and handsome,
While the rest of you have grown old, fat and then some?
Ten years can make quite a difference, I fear,
In protruding one's physique, front and rear.

Speakers were Mr. Clifton Fonstad, class advisor, and Mr. Einar Jackson, to whom the year book was dedicated. Slides were shown by Miss Judith Behrens of her trip to Greece and the Near East.

During the business meeting it was decided to meet again in 5 years. A reunion committee was appointed.

Prizes were awarded as follows: Changed the most in appearance, Judy Behrens; Married the longest, Avilla (Noah) Blunck; Married most recently, Mavis (Jakobi) Liebzeit; Having the most children, Corrine (Hare) Larson; Traveled greatest distance to reunion, Judy Behrens.

Pictures were taken and a tour was made of the new addition to the high school.
