Now on a wedding trip to Yellowstone National Park, the Badlands and Canada are Mr. and Mrs. Ralph John Smrecek, who were joined in marriage at a 10 a.m. ceremony Saturday, August 10, 1963, in HOly Family Catholic Church in Willard.

Mrs. Smrecek is the former Patricia Ann Steponik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Steponik, Waterloo, Wis., and her husband is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Smrecek, Willard (Clark Co., Wis.).

The Rev. William Nicholai performed the ceremony and Mrs. Henry Lamovec played the wedding music. She also accompanied the choir.

The bride, entering the church with her father, wore a white gown of bombazine and imported hand clipped Chantilly lace. It was styled with Basque bodice, voluminous skirt with chapel train and frothy tiers of lace. A leaf shaped cap with pearls and a bouffant veil completed her ensemble. She carried a bouquet of white orchids surround by pink sweetheart roses and white stephanotis.

Two attendants preceded the bride to the altar. They were Miss Joyce Steponik, Waterloo, maid of honor, and Miss Mary Ann Smrecek, Marshfield, bridesmaid. Both wore mint green dresses with overskirts and carried bouquets of pink and white carnations.

The groom's attendants were Tom Smrecek, best man, and Michael Huttl, groomsman. Ushers were John Smrecek and Daniel Smrecek.

Following the wedding, a reception, dinner and supper were served at the West Side Hall.

The bride is a graduate of Pittsville High School and of Wood County Teachers College, Wisconsin Rapids. She will be employed as a teacher in Mound School, by the Neillsville School system.
