Poertner, Sarah Lee (19 SEP 1964)

The Pekol-Poertner wedding took place at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 19, 1964, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Willard, the Rev. Williams Nikolai officiating. Mr. Poertner gave his daughter in marriage. The girls' choir sand and Mrs. Ann Lamovec was the organist.

The bride wore a floor length gown of white satin with nylon braid lace forming the top, the square neckline scalloped and bridal lace covering most of the modified dome skirt and train.

Her veil was held by a small crown with pearls and rhinestones, and her flowers were red roses with rhinestone dewdrops, and bridal lace leaves scattered among them, all secured with lace ribbon.

Mrs. Joyce Kuzjak, Neillsville, was matron of Honor, and Miss Carol Pekol of Greenwood, Miss Bettie Finder of Neillsville, Miss Judy Pekol of Willard and Miss Sylvia Eckmann, Mequon, were the bridesmaids.

Their flowers were wood roses and carnations in champagne color. Each donned a floor length gown of royal blue taffeta made with scoop neckline, a satin midriff and a done skirt with pleated train to the hemline. They had matching double bow headpieces with bustle veils.

James Pekol, Greenwood, was best man, and the groomsmen were Valentine Kuzjak, Neillsville, Ronald Poertner, Missoula, Montana; Ernest Pekol, Clearwater, Fla.; and Richard Jesne, Greenwood. Ushering were Leonard Sollberger, Neillsville, and Stanley Pernic, Deerfield, Illinois.

The newlyweds are making their home at Mead Lake, Willard.
