Eugene Hagie and family, Mrs. Vera Matheson and children spent Sunday at John McCarl’s.

George Struebing is helping Geo. Fisher make maple syrup.

L. Olson and wife spent Sunday at the Crockett home.

Mrs. W.H. Linton spent one day last week with Wm. Ottow’s.

Mrs. McCarl has returned home after a long visit in Neillsville.

Clyde McPherson returned to his home in Colorado Thursday.

Mrs. T.M. Winters returned home from Evansville Thursday. She is improving nicely.

Miss Slocomb spent the weekend at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harvey returned to their home Thursday after a short visit with Henry Cole and family.

Horace Rodman is grading the roads.

Johnnie McCarl says that he has so much maple syrup this year that it nearly runs away with him.

Some day we will see him coming down the road head first with the syrup after him, and the people of Shortville will have to hide or we might drown.

Wesenberg’s infant girl died last Sunday at 5:30 p.m. They have the deepest sympathy of their friends.

Ed. Hagie was seen speeding in the city limits Sunday.

A farewell party was held at Struebing’s home Tuesday night for Clyde McPherson. All who attended report a good time.
