Zell, William F. (25 SEP 1895 – 23 FEB 1971)

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 26, at the Hill Funeral Home for William F. Zell, 75, a lifelong resident of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), who died early Tuesday morning, February 23, 1971, at Memorial Home in Neillsville.

Mr. Zell had been in ill health since December 7, 1970, and had been a patient at Neillsville Memorial Hospital and Home since December 24, 1970.

The Rev. Eugene Antrim, pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, officiated, and burial was made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Zell was born in Greenwood September 25, 1895, and was married May 2, 1928, in Neillsville, to Helen Cleveland Gemmeke. He had operated a farm four miles west of Greenwood, which was his birth place.

Survivors include his wife; a step-daughter, Mrs. Buford (Margaret) Wilking, Milwaukee; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Otto Wehrman, and a brother, Ferdinand Zell.
