Marriage vows were exchanged on Saturday, June 18, 1971 at St. Ann's Church at Turtle Lake between Linda Leann Stern of Prairie Farm and Terrence James McConnell of Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.), son of Mr. and Mrs. James McConnell.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Stern of Prairie Farm was given in marriage by her father.

Father Corrigan performed the 2:00 p.m. ceremony and George Hanson was the soloist.

The bride entered the church in a floor length bridal gown of English lace with a walking train. The cap sleeves were accented with decorative bows. She wore a shoulder length mantilla of matching English lace and carried a mixed bouquet of daisies, bachelor buttons, baby breath and carnation

The maid of honor was Patricia Churchman, the bride's sister of Prairie Farm, and the bridesmaids were Diana Stern of Prairie Farm, Sharon Hop of Chetek, and Kath Worth of Cedarburg. They wore floor length navy blue dresses with flowered voile skirts and fitted blue bodices. The empire waist was accented with white band and bow, and the full sleeves were accented with white cuffs. The dresses were also decorated with white collars and accent buttons down the front. They each carried a bouquet of white daisies with navy blue ribbons.

Leland Mayenschein, brother-in-law of the groom, of Greenwood, served as best man. Groomsmen were Pat McConnell of Greenwood, Richard Kudisille of Spring Valley and Ken Sleuter of Chicago. The two ushers were James Churchman of Prairie Farm and Pat Worth of Cedarburg.

A reception follow the ceremony in the American Legion Hall at Turtle Lake, where there was also an evening dance.

Both the bride and groom are River Falls graduates with education degrees. This fall the couple will reside in Whitehall, Wisconsin.

The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas.
