Buske, Carol Elaine (15 September 1936 – 27 October 2016)

Carol Buske, 80, of Neillsville, formerly of Oconomowoc and Watertown, died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at the Clark County Rehab and Living Center in Owen.

Carol Elaine Schaefer was born Sept. 15, 1936, in Oconomowoc, the daughter of Emil and Marian (Rouse) Schafer. She was united in marriage to Earl Robert Buske Sept. 10, 1955, in Concord. After their wedding, they lived in Concord for a short time but spent most of their lives in Oconomowoc before retiring in Watertown. Earl died in 2012, and Aug. 8, 2012, Carol moved to Neillsville to be by her daughter Cindy.

She was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and her family would like to thank the Clark County Rehabilitation Center for the loving care and comfort they provided Carol.

She is survived by a daughter, Cindy (Mary Newman) Buske of Neillsville – granddaughter, Meghan Boucher, Great-grandchildren: Kennedy, Aiden, Guy and Ace. A daughter, Carrie (Chad) Frederick of Watertown, grandchildren: Karissa (Tim), Jade (Tabatha), Amber (Landon) and Carson. Carol is also survived by a brother, Richard (Barbara) Schafer of Appleton, and special friends, Bob (Joanne) Fischer of Cedarburg.

She was preceded in death by her husband Earl, her parents and a brother, Thomas.

A Memorial Service for Carol was held at 3 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at the Gesche Funeral Home in Neillsville. Pastor Richard Schaefer officiated. Visitation was from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Gesche Funeral Home.
