Mrs. L.W. Cattanach accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cattanach and son Dick to Boscobel on Monday of last week to visit her son Lewis, who has been confined to the hospital after suffering a hear attack, and is now improving nicely.

Michael Cattanach, Lt. Jr., who has been attending officers training at Fort Knox, Ky., and is now on a 15 day leave visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Cattanach of Boscobel, spent two days with his uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Cattanach and his grandmother, Mrs. L.W. Cattanach. He will report to Fort Bragg when his leave is up.

Mrs. John "Jack" Wilson of Houston, Texas, arrived here on Thursday of last week and is assisting her mother-in-law, Mrs. A.M> Wilson, with her packing in preparation for her moving to Houston.

Father Richard Hewetson visited Ashland last weekend and enjoyed a boat trip to the Apostle Islands with Canon Weis of Eau Claire and Father Arthur Hildebrandt of Ashland.

Jean Barager and three of her apartment residents, Donna Presnall, Laurie Goodale and Sue Kahl, all students at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, spent the weekend at the Barager cottage with Jean's parents. Saturday Jean attended the shower given by Mrs. Robert Probe in Eau Claire for Jane Westendorf.

Mrs. S.E. Grimes was driven home Saturday by her daughter Jane of Minneapolis, following a two week stay with Mr. and Mrs. Gene Altenburg and helping while little Wendy Altenburg, age 2, was hospitalized following surgery. She was happy to learn that Wendy would be dismissed from the hospital earl this week.

Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Wolfram returned home last Monday afternoon from a week's visit with relatives at Stoughton, Fort Atkinson, and Sheboygan. Jane Erickson of Stoughton and Susan Ericsson of Addison, Ill., accompanied them to Stoughton. At Sheboygan they attended the funeral of Art's brother-in-law, Charlie Knaabe.

Eugene Jasinski returned to his home in Owen Sunday evening after spending a month's vacation at the home of his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Laduron and family of Racine. He was accompanied home by his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Laduron and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Phillips and family of Chicago are visiting here this week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Uno Fillips, as well as with her family in the town of Green Grove.

Dr. and Mrs. G.R. Scharer attended the State Chiropractic meeting Sunday at Wisconsin Rapids.

Miss Penny Turner and John Woodrum of Springfield, Ill., and Timber and Tyler Turner of Withee spent Saturday water skiing at the G.R. Scharer cottage at Rib Lake.

Last week the Charles Edgar family moved their household effects from the B.J. Iverson home in the First Ward to that owned by Mr. and Mrs. John Lesneski, also in the First Ward.

Mr. and Mrs. Edward Potocnik and family returned home Monday from a five week vacation trip through several eastern states, Canada, and a visit to Expo '67.

Michael Milliren and Tom Peterson started working last week with a construction firm out of La Crosse.

Cindy Devine, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Devine, returned home from California, where she has been since school let out in the spring, visiting with relatives and helping them care for the children at he David Devine home.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gay returned Friday evening after vacationing in Canada and visiting point os interest, such as Expo '67 At Montreal, returning home via Niagara Falls and the Mackinac Bridge.
