Buchholz, Viola (22 FEB 1934 – 15 NOV 2016)

Viola Buchholz, age 82, of Neillsville, WI died November 15, 2016 at the Stoney River Memory Care Center in Marshfield, WI.

Viola Jane Free was born on February 22, 1934 in Neillsville, WI the daughter of Herbert and Inger (Searls) Free. She was a life-long resident of Clark County as she grew up in the Town of York and attended Loyal schools. She married Richard Buchholz on November 1, 1952 at the York Center United Methodist Church. They lived in the Christie area and farmed on the Buchholz family farm. In later years she worked at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville before retirement.

Viola was a member of the York Center United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being part of the Ladies Aid and Weston Homemakers. Her favorite things to do were sewing and cooking.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Earl Buchholz, four children, Roger (Joan), Dennis (Judy), Randy and Becky all of Neillsville, six grandchildren, eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Fredrick, her parents, two sisters and a brother.

A Memorial Service for Viola will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2016 at the York Center United Methodist Church. Pastor Patsy Roe will officiate. Music will be provided by Lori Rowe. Interment will be in the Marie Louise Chapel Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday at the Church.
