Mr. and Mrs. Don Leichtnam entertained guests at the home following the confirmation of their son, Donald, at Zion Lutheran Church at Colby. Guests were Miss Nancy Leichtnam f Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Allan Kaatz and family, Fremont; grandmothers, Mrs. Emma Schultz of Abbotsford and Mrs. Cecil Leichtnam of Tomah; Mrs. Fred Schmelzer, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Morris Wussow and son, Wisconsin Rapids; Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Lange and daughter, Milwaukee, and Mr. and Mrs. Al Rehberg and sons, Tomah. Donald's sponsors are Marvin Lange of Milwaukee and Mrs. Morris Wussow of Wisconsin Rapids.

Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Arnoux of Evanston, Ill. spent the week at the home of the latter's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Meyer, and also visited her mother, Lena Meyer, at the Memorial Nursing home, Medford.

Elroy Augustine came home Thursday from the Veterans Hospital at Madison. He will return to the hospital June 1 for further examinations.

Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Runzheimer, Susan and Mark, attended the funeral of her mother, Mrs. G.A. Parsch, 80, who died Friday, May 23 at the Norman Zarnke home in Wausau, on Monday, May 26, at St. John's Lutheran Church, town of Easton.

Guests at the Runzheimer home for the weekend, who attended the funeral of their grandmother, were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Redman and Dean and Dawn, Janesville. Also attending the funeral was Mrs. Ida Redman of Edgar.

Several friends attended an after school birthday party for Randy Apfelbeck on his seventh birthday anniversary, Wednesday, May 21. Outdoor games were played before lunch, and treats were distributed to each guest. Randy's parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Apfelbeck of Colby.
