Kellner, Andrew “Andy” D. Jr. (28 MAY 1944 - 9 JUL 2010)

Andrew “Andy” D. Kellner Jr., 74, of W3305 State Highway 64, Medford, passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and Hope Hospice.

The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 13 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford, with Father Gerard Willger and Deacon Joseph Stefancin officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Medford where full military honors will be performed by the Medford Area Military Honors Team.

Pallbearers will be his grandchildren: David, Chelsea, Angela, Michael, Rachael and Joe Kellner, Kailey, Stephanie, Logan and Jarret Lamberson, Troy and Luke Erspamer.

Visitation will be at 4-7 P.M. Monday, July 12 at the Hemer Funeral Home, where there will be a 6:45 P.M. Prayer Service and also from 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. Tuesday, July 13 at the Hemer Funeral Home, Medford.

Andy was born on November 30, 1935, in Chelsea, to Andrew H. and Alvina (Fruzen) Kellner Sr. He attended Frey Grade School, and was a 1954 Graduate of Medford High School. He received his license as a Real Estate Broker from Spencerian College in Milwaukee.

On June 28, 1958, he was married to Diane M. Pernsteiner and she survives.

Andy served in the U.S. Army from July 7, 1954-May 31, 1956 where he was honorably discharged, received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He worked at American Motors in Milwaukee and then Medford Motors from 1957-1971. Andy then worked in sales at Weathershield in Medford for a period of time. He then worked at Drott Manufacturing in Wausau as an equipment assembler from 1971-1973. From 1973-1985 he owned and operated a dairy farm in the Town of Browning. In his retirement Andy enjoyed owning and operating his own heavy equipment where he did work on his land, digging his own pond. He enjoyed reading and his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Medford.

He is survived by his wife, Diane M. Kellner, of Medford; children Dean (Sandy) Kellner of Marshfield, Alyse (Jeff) Lamberson of Lakeville, MN, and Melanie (Sam) Erspamer of Hurley; 12 grandchildren, David, Chelsea, Angela, Michael, Rachael and Joe Kellner, Kailey, Stephanie, Logan and Jarret Lamberson, Troy and Luke Erspamer.

Andy is also survived by siblings, DeLoria (Tom) Barron of Jordon, MN, and Clarice (Edward “Lee”) Schield of Medford; Duane (Helen) Kellner of Dothon, AL, and Donald (Shirley) Kellner of Schofield.

He is predeceased by his parents, Andrew H. Alvina (Fruzen) Kellner Sr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Andy’s name to Hope Hospice or Holy Rosary.
